like, l know the newer ones, and some of the older ones, like u see a brand new holden commodore and its like ''check out the VE''. but how do people know instantly from sight if its a VL VK VZ, etc. can someone give me a detailed answer, showing most of the models. or, can someone give me the link to a site that would show me what information l would like to know? this is also applicable to cars outside the holden range, like, a mate of mine saw a white wagon go past and said it was an A, how does he know this? and what do these letters mean?

A VZ is the model before the VE. It has triangle tail lights & u can sort of tell that it is a VZ because it still looks new. A VY looks the same as the VZ except it came out in 2003 l think & the VZ after that. Not much difference in between.

A VX & is the one before the Vy. It has a more rounded bubbly front & tail light. If u know what a monaro looks like, then the one that looks similar to that is the VX.

A VS & VR has more of a rectangular tail light & looks thinner at the front compared to a VZ which lokks a liitle more meaner & bulkier. These came out arount 1996.

A VN is the one with square tail lights.

An a VL an VK r the smallest commodores. They also have rectangle lights, but once u see one u can tell that it is a VL or VK because they r the oldest. From then on the commodores grew in size.

l suggest u look at 1 picture of each & from then on u will understand what l am talking about, & u will have no trouble identifying the difference.

all the vehicle lines have their own unique stylings, shapes and trims.
