Nope, they did not put LT1 motors in Roadmasters until 1994. The 1992 models had 5.7 TB l engines.

Like the others said the true 'lt1' was 94-96. Many people seem to think that every 5.7 350 motor is a Lt1. 1970-72 & 92-97 were the only 'real' ones but were not always available in all cars, l believe 70-72 & 92-93 they were only in the vettes. The 92 roadmasters, custom cruisers, cadillac broughams, & caprices had pretty much the same 5.7 engine as the 5.7 is that were in the trucks 87-95. l owned both versions & liked the 92-93 much better. Ya the 94-96 has some more power but it comes at a high price. Check out the price of a distributor cap or water pump between the two. Thats just one example. The 92-93 & the 91 305/5.0 is about the simplest motor GM made since the 50's. The TB l fuel system started in 1980 & besides being on many cars it was used on every truck & suv GM sold from 87-95 so they for sure had the bugs out by 91. Parts r cheap & easy to come by. Not a lot of wires & hoses on the engine so its real easy to work on. Same can not be said for the 94-96 is or some of the earlier carb ones.
