l Have a 98 gmc yukon the truck has front and rear a/c controls about a month ago it stopped working l pulled the fan speed control knob off and the switch was melted. but the back still worked at that time. l replaced the switch, it worked for about two weeks and now it is melted again.the front is not working but the back still isl think it has a short somwhere that is buring that switch up. Has anyone had this problem with there rig? anyone have a clue what it couldbe?

The is high resistance in the wiring causing the high heat. Is the connector melted? (replace it) Check for other connectors in line for the blower! You should be able to go to the dealer and get just that connector, they take time to look up, but its cheaper and easier than a whole harness!
