Where on the internet can l troubleshoot for this problem?
If there was something wrong with the power steering gear box would it cause a major leak?

The pullies on the pump usually cause a lot of friction and will cause seals to wear out and leak. You will need a new one.

you might want to take it to a repairman there could be a tube or something with a hole in it but that is something you actually need to get checked internet cant fix everything now humans are good resources too

its got a leak in the pump itself probably.. gm is do that once they get around 70 k miles.. trade it in!! its the beginning of the end l promise!!! and l am a finance manager at a gm store in california.. good luck!!!

Could be one of the hoses. (Cheapest repair)
It could also be the pump itself or the resevoir that contains the fluid. It is fairly easy to locate. Try drying the hoses with a rag and see where it is oozing from. If you're lucky and its a hose, you can repair it yourself quite easily.

hose busted or seal out... only reason for it... no need to surf the net... go look under the hood and see where its coming from if its a hose replace it if its a pump get a new one

your power steering pump or the hoses that run from the pump may have a hole. but be for you do any thang like that try some power steering stop leak.
