Im looking for the diagnostic procedure for a B0164 (Passenger Compartment Temperature Sensor #1) fault on a 2003 H2.More specifically, the location of the sensor itself.We cant find the damn thing.Thanks!

no diagnostic procedure but the sensor is more than likely unplugged or faulty. l would say its located in the dash somewhere more than likely it will be starring right at you when your sitting in the car, look for a small (size of a coin) vent type look, it will be behind it.

The sensor is located at the middle left side of the headliner above the driver seat ( should be right above ur left shoulder when sitting in the driver seat )
There should be two sensors there, the front is the microphone for the cellular phone, the rear is the inside air temp.sensor.

It is a 4 wire sensor.
unplug sensor, key on engine off.
( use a multimeter) connect one end to ground the other end to the dk green wire,you should have 5v or close to 5v.( if not most likely the hvac control module )

if voltage OK, test the dk green wire for 5v but this time instead of using the ground of the vehicle, attach the other end to the brown wire at the sensor( low reference ).
If OK , replace the sensor
