Which one would you buy?The Denali has less miles (a few thousand less) and has a littlle bit more bells and whistles.The XL has a few thousand more miles (35K which l think is a lot for a car that is a year old) but its newer.Both are almost the same price.

You might consider going to NHTSA.com first and look at the TSBs there on this vehicle. You might want to consider the gas it will use as well. Good Luck and God bless

l had a 2003 Suburban & it was a great truck, & l have many friends that have Denali is & they really like them. We have a 2007 Yukon XL with 56,000 miles on it (A little more than 35K, haha) & it is a fantastic car, but l personally think I'd like the Denali better. l think they're a better looking truck (depending on color.the metallic gray is sweet!) & l liked the way the other one drove. The new one is super smooth & quiet, but it feels a big more bulky & does not really surprise u with power & handling. You will have a lot more power out of the 6.0L 345 HP in the Denali than the 315 HP 5.3L in the Yukon XL, as well as AWD & more options than the Yukon. Let them work out the bugs in the 2007 is & 08 is before u go for them, as we've had a few on this Yukon, & we've only had it since August (2nd hand). Either way, you're probably making a good choice though. Good Luck!

I'd go with the lower mileage '05. 2 years is not a big deal in age when you're talking about ''new'' cars, especially if the older one has less miles.

I'd be willing to bet that the '07 with 35K on it was probably used as some kind of fleet vehicle, loaner, or rental car because most single owners wo not put 35K on a car in one year - I'd even doubt that a private owner (like a travelling salesman) would drive a big SUV that much in a year unless he was not paying for his own fuel.

The GMC Yukon XL was completely redesigned for 2007. It is built on a stronger chassis for improved ride & handling, features a new sleeker exterior that includes a sharper angled windshield for improved aerodynamics, & it has a more spacious & refined interior. The Yukon XL is powered by a new family of Gen.-IV small-block V-8 engines. The Denali trim level features lots of amenities.

Other changes include rack-and-pinion steering, & better safety features including 4-wheel disc brakes & an all-new Bosch ABS system for better braking. StabiliTrak—GM’s electronic stability control system incorporates rollover mitigation software. Side-curtain air bags for all three rows of seats r now offered on the XL. The big GMC SUV also seats 9.

The original sticker for the 2007 model was from $36,900 upwards, but even a new 2007 model may be better priced because it is a 2007 model & GM may want to clear out 2007 inventory. Reviewing some models online, we found a 2007 Denali in excellent condition that had a list price at a dealer of $40,000. We also saw a 2005 Yukon XL AWD Denali listed for about $31,000. You can check pricing on different Web sites. EPA mileage estimates r 15 mpg in city driving & 21 mpg on the the highway, which is an improvement. The new Yukon XL also earns 5 of 5 star safety ratings in front & side-impact crash tests, & earns 3 of 5 stars in the rollover ratings. In terms of initial quality , the Yukon XL receives average ratings. However, its sibling Chevrolet Suburban was considered better than most in the same segment quality ratings. In 2005, the Suburban was the top model in the same segment.

l love my 05 denali, the 07 is a first year redisign and has a few problems so l would stay away from that, especially as it is coming out of warranty soon, it does have a 5yr 100k powertrain warranty
