i have trouble starting my gmc 1500. sometimes it starts, sometimes it wont. i put a new time chain and water

thats a sign of a broken ignition module,Line up the two pulleys dots and sometimes while doing this turn the engine over once to get the slack out and visually check it again

dose it have points, as in the distributor, you know. that that directs the sparks to the spark plug leads, l do not even know what a 1500 is, but dose it have an electronic ignition.
or is it pointless.
as a child if you can not fix your ride/bicycle.
well just may be, you should not have one.
or get a better one!
and make sure it is not made in the the U.S.A.
