The Holden Monaro came to the U.S. the Pontiac GTO. The late 90 is versions of the Holden Commodore were built on the same platform as and shared many parts with the Cadillac Catera. And l believe the folks here are correct that the current generation of the Commodore is closest to the Pontiac G8. Hope this helps.

Its just another GM brand. The only Holdens sold in the US lately were the Pontiac GTO and Pontiac G8. The rest of Pontiac shares nothing with Holden. Back in the 90 is the Cadillac Catera was also a Holden.

Over the next few years GM will use the Zeta platform from the G8 in the Chevy Camaro, Chevy Impala, Pontiac G8 Sport Truck, and several Buicks.
