Good or bad car. Please explain.

It is an American car. Those factorys are in financial trouble. why is that do you think. Maybe because they have been building crap for years....huh....maybe?

They do great as long as you dont hit a pot hole or back into something or get into a wreck.
they are not very expensive, but also not very durable.

Well, l think u should not listen to Norman. How can u just generalize that ALL American cars r junk? ALL car manufacturers (including Normans precious ''foreign cars'') have good & bad vehicles.


As for what R S said, l live in Michigan which is pot hole central & I've never had a problem. l also do not go around backing into other objects, so take advice from someone who can actually drive.



l have a quad coupe right now & l love it.

In case u did not know, its a 2+2, so there is only room for 2 in the back seat. You probably would not want to be in the back seat for a cross country trip, but its not horrible.

Gas mileage is great, although it depends if u have the 2.2, 2.4 or the 2.0 supercharged. l have the 2.0 supercharged & get about 25 in the city. The 2.2 & 2.4 r probably getting 5 or 6 mpg better.
As for the reliability, I've had it 2 1/2 years & its been to the dealer for a repair one time (it was some door sensor), that is it.

On the IIHS it got an acceptable rating on the offset frontal, but poor on the side.

As for cost, they r fairly cheap. The fun factor is very high if u get the 2.0 supercharged one (it is called the Redline). It has the same engine/transmission as the Supercharged Cobalt. They only made approximately 6,000 Ion Redlines, so they r fairly rare & u more than likely have never actually seen one.

I've owned all kinds of cars & SUV's. This car by far has been the best & most reliable one that l have owned.
